Crazy Weekend

Last weekend was ridiculously busy!! On Saturday, we went to the grocery, came home for an hour or so, went to see our friend Laura and her 5-month-old Layla and then went straight to Chris' parents house. Nanna M got to feed Jayna for the first time!! I know she enjoyed that very much! We were on the go from the time we got up until about 4:30pm. I ended the day with a terrible headache/stomachache combo and Jayna was so tired that she slept almost all the way through the night.

On Sunday, our day began with pictures at 10am. Despite Jayna's fussiness, we did manage to get some good pictures. She got some fall photos taken as well as some pictures in her giraffe costume. The picture appointment sure was an ordeal!! Jayna was fussy, so she wouldn't really hold still to get pics taken. The girls taking the pictures weren't what I would call gentle when they were placing her. After we left, Chris said to me, "I've never been to a picture place where the photographer places the baby...most of them let the parents place the baby." And I must agree. If I would have placed her everytime, she may not have fussed as much. After her fall pics, I wanted to get a few of the dreaded costume. She was squirmy and crying, so I didn't put on a onesie under her costume...thinking, "Oh well, she'll just have it on for a few minutes and then I'll change her to comfy clothes." Well, she was still fussy when I took it off of her and I ended up pinching her with the zipper on her neck. I felt like a horrible mom!! She screamed and cried and screamed some more. She's okay now...

After pictures, we went to my parents' house. Jayna got to spend some quality time with her Nana and Nana got to feed Jayna. We had some lunch and some homemade apple pie and then called it a day. We got home at about 4pm. Jayna was so tired from her weekend that she slept from 8:30pm Sunday until 5:30am Monday...and I had to wake her up!! She probably would have slept longer if I didn't have to get her up to go to Aunt Summer's. We were very busy, but we got in some much needed visiting with friends and family...hope to do it again soon!!
