Today Jayna and I did some "sinus experiments."  It totally cracks me up that that's what she calls them.  Today we did a milk, food coloring and dish soap experiment about surface tension.  Also, we learned how to stab a plastic, flimsy straw through a very hard potato...which was a lesson about air pressure.  Interesting stuff!! :)

Also, if you have a little one who likes this sort of thing, we highly recommend Steve Spangler's book Naked Eggs and Flying Potatoes.  He's wonderful.
