If you refinish/repurpose/recycle furniture, you NEED some Bondo auto putty.  My dad suggested it when I was trying to fill in the holes on some dresser drawers so I could put on a single knob instead of a pull.  I wanted something stronger than spackle or wood filler, but something that I could sand down and would also take paint.  This stuff is awesome!!  I've now found so many uses for it that I keep a tube in the garage at all times.

And a sidenote:  If the dog eats a small amount, she will be okay. I learned this just today because my dog eats everything that isn't nailed down. :)
