Me: The Abridged Version, C

And here we are at the letter C.  I skipped writing yesterday because I could only think of one "C" word.  Now I've thought a little harder (it DID hurt) and I've come up with some others.

Chris
I don't even know where to start.  He's the apple of my eye.  The Abbott to my Costello.  The peas to my carrots.  He's the love of my life and my bestest friend.  I'd be in a very different place in my life (and much less happy) if he weren't in it.  I can count on him to help me through rough times, to cry with me when I am sad and to laugh with (and sometimes at) me when I'm happy.  He never tells me what I want to hear; rather he tells me what I need to hear.  He makes me talk when I don't want to and doesn't allow me to bottle up my feelings.  He will not spoonfeed me answers; rather he makes me work through the problem with his help along the way.  He is a wonderful father to Jayna and and just an all-around fantabulous partner in crime.  I heart him.

College
I love college.  You will notice that I put that last sentence in the present tense.  If not for the real world, I'd probably still be in college.  I learned so much in my 6.5 years of college, inside and outside the classroom.  I learned who I really was and what was really important in life.  I made some lifelong friends and probably some lifelong enemies...but who's counting?  I will always feel at home at IU and hope to live in Bloomington again one day.

Camera
I keep my camera in my purse and I use it almost everyday.  I love having memories frozen in time, especially now that Jayna is around.  I love how a photograph can take you back to a moment as if it happened yesterday.  Pictures help me remember the past and document the future.  My camera is an essential item in my everyday life.

Count
I have some quirks ("No, you?  Really?  We didn't know! You hide it so well!").  One of those quirks includes counting things.  Some call it OCD, some call it a defense mechanism.  I call it a quirk.  I count stairs and ceiling tiles and lines on the floor and cars and...and...and.  I am weird.  Enough said.

CleverTruth
CleverTruth was the name of Chris' band in college.  I was with the band ALL the time and eventually knew every word to every song and knew when any member missed any note at any gig.  I filmed and photographed and even fixed broken instruments during shows.  I learned alot about music and alot about drinking and even more about musicians.

Charlie
I obtained this nickname somewhere along the way from my mom.  She also calls me Charliegoose.  My stepdad calls me Chuck sometimes.  She has called me Charlie for as long as I can remember.  Other people have begun calling me Charlie now and I have to say that I really don't mind.  It's just become a fiber of my being.

Cookie
I adore cookies.  Always have.  Always will.  I don't even have a favorite cookie because they're all my favorites!!  I love warm cookies straight out of the oven, but they MUST NOT have raisins in them.  I am also known to eat cookies while drinking beer.  They seem to be the perfect pair in my messed up mind.

Confidence
For the better part of my life I've had a great deal of confidence.  I was a part of several groups and teams in high school, I have excelled at every job I've ever had and have always appreciated my appearance.  The past year has been difficult for me in this area, but I'm battling to find my -ness again (google You, Me and Dupree for an explanation...oh, wait.  I just did it for you!  And I know that article is about teenager health, but I think it applies to everyday life for every human being).  I have never had a problem with going first at anything and I like to try new things, but I also know what I am and am not good at...and I simply do not do something if I know I am not good at it (see also "Pool").

ETA:
Corner Gas
The Canadian sitcom Corner Gas is my favorite sitcom of all time.  It even surpasses Scrubs (see also "Scrubs").  It is light and funny and just brilliant.  Brent Butt is a fantastic writer and comedian.  My fantasy football team is even named after this show and I am known to quote it almost once per day.  If you haven't seen it, do so now.  I'll wait....

What are your "C" words?
