Last week sometime, Chris and I were feeling especially lazy and decided that we weren't going to eat dinner based on the fact that we actually had to cook something. See, when you go on a diet, it's difficult to order in and not feel SUPER guilty. So we'd rather just scavenge and eat maybe a spoonful or two of peanut butter and some broccoli and cauliflower or string cheese. We're strange. We know.
On this particular day, Jayna was having baked beans and hot dogs...one of her favorite meals. She also had macaroni and cheese (AKA ronies) which sent her into dinner heaven. Chris and I were sitting at the table with her eating broccoli and ranch dressing. She requested some "bobby cup sauce" to which i replied, "You have nothing that you can dip in barbecue sauce."
That answer apparently wasn't good enough. She then asked for a piece of broccoli (which, strangely enough, she can say AND she likes it), so I gave her a piece of raw broccoli. I will NEVER refuse the child a green vegetable. She looked at me...and then looked at her piece of broccoli...and then looked back at me and said, "Have it...broccoli sauce mommy?"
I'll give you a second.....
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! My kid calls ranch dressing broccoli sauce!! Oh, and she likes it too. :)
