Whit Wednesday: 2-Year-Old Humor

Some recent and funny Jayna stories:

  1. Yesterday when Jayna and I left the house for school, it was snowing.  There was already around 1.5 inches of accumulation on the ground and it was actively snowing ALOT.  I was trying to carry 50 bags and things to the car, so  Jayna was walking behind me.  I got to the car and threw everything in there and realized that she had only walked about halfway to the car.  I turned around and said, "Jayna, hurry up!  It's cold!"  And then turned back around to arrange things in the car.  I had my back to her and I then felt something hit the back of my coat.  I turned around to face her just in time to get hit IN THE FACE with a snowball.  Nice.  She looked up at me and said, "I'm silly mommy."
  2. I went to pick Jayna up from school yesterday and I was carrying her to the car to prevent her feet from getting snowy.  She tried to squirm free to walk by herself.  I told her no, I'd carry her so she didn't have to get snowy.  She looked at me and said, "It's okay, mommy.  I just wanted to throw snowballs at you again."  What the hell?!?
  3. Last night she came running from her bedroom to me in the kitchen saying, "Mommy, mommy!!  Baby Joy lost her mommy!"  (Baby Joy is Jayna's favorite doll.)  I said, "She did?  I thought you were her mommy."  She replied, "No, KT is." (KT is a very good friend of mine.)  That made me smile.
  4. I was going to get in the shower last night and Jayna asked me where I was going.  I told her to take a shower.  She asked, "Are you stinky mommy?" Ha.
  5. Almost everynight, Jayna wants to read her "My Little Animal Book" for bedtime.  It's basically a picture book with tons of different categories of animals in it and she even knows the category names.  Everytime we get to the African Animal section she yells out "A FRICKIN ANIMALS."  Chris and I laugh every. Single. Time.
