- I've made what I call tremendous progress in 2 months. That gave me a false sense of security.
- Having a false sense of security then led me to commit a little less to the training.
- Committing less to the training has forced me to remember that even though I can run 4 miles, a mini-marathon is 13 miles. And I have 2 months to get into gear and show this bitch (the mini) who is boss (ME).
- I will hit the training hard and then gain a false sense of security again.
- Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
Monday and Wednesday were pretty identical. I ran 3 miles each day at 4.7 mph...a 12:45 mile. Not bad. Except that's where it ended for me.
I went Wednesday to Monday with no running. And that...that nearly killed me yesterday.
I'll get there. I have to keep reminding myself that my first mini will NOT be the best. But it's a start.
