When we got home, she got her Rapunzel backpack out and packed it full of tools, hot wheels, a baseball and her ViewFinder...plus 2 Monster High dolls for herself. She took her bag down there and played with the boys.
She's trying very hard to connect with them and find her place in our new neighborhood. She is still very shy and almost chickened out halfway down the sidewalk. With some coaxing from me, she finally decided we'd go. They played about an hour and a half. They played with her toys, shared some cheese and crackers and lemonade and played hide and seek with another older girl from the neighborhood. They rode their Power Wheels and hung out together. This is so new to her, but she's doing a fine job of navigating the new territory.
