This weekend was the most glorious of all summer weekends. We went to Lake Freeman to visit Chris' parents and to take Jayna to Indiana Beach. We had so much fun and didn't want to come home. I turned off my cell phone and left the laptop at home. I had no contact with the electronic world until late Sunday night. And by then I really didn't care and just ignored all my emails. If you sent me an email, I'll get to it eventually.
I'll give you a short list of the highlights of our weekend:
- Jayna loves boat rides! Nana M and Pappaw have a pontoon boat and I'm pretty sure Jayna would live on it if we'd let her. She woke up on Sunday morning saying, "Boatride. Lotion. Jacket. Boatride." That means, "Hey...let's go on a boatride!! I'll get my life jacket and my sunscreen and we can just go right now!!"
- Our dogs were angels! Moe got to swim and Ollie just laid in the grass while I sat on a towel and read. Ollie even got out of the house once unleashed and came right back! That's never ever ever ever ever ever happene. Ever.
- Indiana Beach was way cooler than I remember. Jayna absolutely LOVED the fact that she could ride a few rides by herself. I'll never forget the look on her face when the firetruck she chose began to move. Pure joy. :)
- The weather was amazing and beautiful. 'Nuff said.
Later, taters!!
