For her birthday, Jayna is getting a toddler room! I know, she's growing too fast. Her crib converts to a toddler bed, so we'll do that and then get her new bedding to make it fun. I will also be changing up her tree a little and adding one extra decorative element. We're also getting her a bookshelf to replace all of the random bins that currently store her books and coloring supplies. It's seriously out of hand!
Here is the bedding:
I realize it's plain. But it's soft! And it isn't all that expensive. I don't think she'll last long in a toddler bed before she just goes to a twin bed, so I'm trying to make this a smooth and affordable transition. I REFUSE to buy her character bedding at this time as her likes and dislikes are everchanging. Her favorite colors are pink, red and orange. I will be getting her a red bedskirt and one coordinating orange, pink and red decorative pillow or sham. She'll keep her current red curtains and rug.
The tree in her room can be seen here. I painted this tree to coordinate with her crib bedding and she's grown pretty fond of it. I don't want to take it down yet, so I'm just going to paint the white flowers orange. And when she eventually gets tired of it, I'll take it out of her room and put it in my craft studio.
I am also adding another thing to a wall in her room that y'all will get to see when I finish it. It's a surprise.
So there you have it. More talk about bedding. Those of you who followed the Forty Weex blog know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. :)
