Progress Report: Day 5 & Goals for Next Week

I missed going to the gym yesterday.  Chris didn't get home until almost 6pm and then we had dinner and then I had a major breakthrough regarding Morgan and feelings of guilt and depression.  And I'm just not quite ready to blog about that yet.  Soon.  But not yet.

I did go this morning.  And it felt GOOD.

I woke up renewed.  I was rested.  I didn't feel tired.  And I really felt ready to take over the world.  Literally.  You never know how much crying for 3 hours straight helps until after you do it.

Basics:  33 minutes, 2.15 miles.  Walked .9, ran 1.25.  DO YOU SEE THAT????

I walked less than one mile and ran 1.25 miles.  I am way excited about that. :)  And I ran 1.25 in only 3 intervals instead of 4 or 5.  I ran .55, .25 and .45.  That's some major progress for me.  Slow but sure.

My short term goals at the beginning of the week were to go to the gym 3 times for atleast 30 minutes each time and to run .5 miles continuously by the end of the week.  I met both my goals.  I was almost just waiting for myself to fail...but NOT THIS TIME!!  We'll save that for later.

I did have some issues at the end.  I cooled down for 3 minutes walking and then stretched out for a minute before I left.  When I got to the car, I was SURE I was going to puke all over myself.  I never did, but I sure felt like it.  I didn't drink alot of water at the end or throughout, I was watching my breathing and I don't feel like I overworked myself.  Any insight from y'all would be appreciated.

Week 1 done.  And on to the next...

Goals for next week:
  1. Go to gym 4 times for atleast 30 minutes each time. 
  2. Run .75 miles continuously.
  3. Run 1.5 miles of 2 miles.
I am only allowing myself 3 short term goals for now.  I have a tendency to overload myself, get overwhelmed and then get discouraged and ultimately...QUIT.  Not. Gonna. Do it.  I'm seeing this through to the end, people.
